Planting a new Seed, Growing a new Heritage
Current Temple Of Fine Arts building at 19 Jalan Dapat, Johor Bahru.
The Temple of Fine Arts was founded as a non-profit, non-sectarian, charitable organization in 1981, under the guidance and vision of our founding Patron, Guide and Guru, HH Swami Shantanand Saraswathi. The institution’s guiding principles are the universal values of Love, mutual respect and service to mankind.
The key focus as a cultural institution is the cultivation and nurturing of the artistic talents and potential of the youths in particular. The aim is to create opportunities for youth to be culturally attuned, while finding meaningful expression for their creative energy.
Another socially beneficial initiative of the Temple of Fine Arts has been service to the less privileged members of our society, through our free medical health services and mobile medical camps, targeting the urban and rural needy.
All these noble efforts over the last thirty years have only been made possible by the generous contributions and support of our well wishers. As such on every occasion as we expand our scope of service, we engage and seek the support and partnership of our friends and associates. Today we are pleased to share with you another project that will further enhance the opportunity to serve the youthful members of our society.
The Temple of Fine Arts JB is currently occupying a rented premise at No. 19 Jalan Dapat, Johor Bahru. The building is over 70 years old and has served us well for the last 17 years (since July 1994). Currently there is an opportunity to purchase this property - 19 Jalan Dapat, at an offered price of RM 700,000. The well-served building is also in dire need of upgrading by way of a new building and improved facilities. This will enable us to continue nurturing these talents, while expanding the services to reach beyond our current strength of 350 students.
We humbly seek your whole-hearted partnership and support in this initiative. We are confident these efforts will help us achieve our target of RM 700,000 by June 2012. The long-term objective is to raise RM 4 million over the next two years, to fund the construction of the new building. These are various ways that you can render your service:
Let us take yet another step to make this dream come true in Johor Bahru.
